PFB Unveils Carbon Credit Trading Pilot Program

CAMP HILL, Pa. — Pennsylvania Farm Bureau (PFB) is hosting eight free information meetings, “Income and Environmental Opportunities from Carbon Credit Trading.”

The initial project focuses on no-till acreage, including grazing and pasture land. Later this year, the PFB/GEX program will enable carbon credit trading in all Pennsylvania counties for the use of biodiesel fuel.

The following is a list of all the dates, times and locations for each meeting:
• Feb. 11 — Beaver County, 7 p.m. at Penn State University, Beaver Campus Auditorium, Pa.
• Feb. 12 — Armstrong County, 7 p.m. at Manor Township Fire Hall, McGrann, Pa.
• Feb. 16 — Franklin County, 10 a.m. at Franklin County Extension office, Chambersburg, Pa.
• Feb. 19 — Berks County, 10 a.m. at Berks Ag Center, Leesport, Pa.
• Feb. 20 — Columbia County, 1 p.m. at Bloomsburg University, Bloomsburg, Pa.
• Feb. 25 — Chester County, 10 a.m. at East Brandywine Fire Hall, Downingtown, Pa.
• Feb. 26 — Centre County, 10 a.m. at Samuel Hayes Livestock Evaluation Center, Pennsylvania Furnace, Pa.
• Feb. 26 — Lycoming County, 7 p.m. at Pennsdale Fire Company, Pennsdale, Pa.
