LONDON, ENGLAND

The Green IT Report (TGIR) has launched a series of Green IT company profiles, which has featured Greenstone carbon management, a company specialising in helping companies reduce their carbon footprint. The profiles are used by organisations both in and outside the carbon management sector, to identify and analyse leading industry players.

Matthew de Villiers, Greenstone’s Chief Executive, said “It’s pleasing to see that Greenstone is one of the initial companies to be featured. It provides another channel for people to understand more about Greenstone’s tools and services in carbon accounting.”

The profile aims to provide in depth analysis of companies associated with, and at the centre of, this growing sector of the economy.

The profile has been compiled with various sources of information, including face to face meetings with principle people in each organisation. Along with Greenstone Carbon, Infor is another company to be featured, with more to follow. The general approach and internal organisation of the companies is identified, as are the companies’ products and services – along with critical assessment of each organisation’s strategy.

Greenstone’s carbon management software and other products have grown in popularity due to the continuing pressure on governments and companies to cut greenhouse gas. Along with improved public image, firms can benefit from state tax breaks and reductions in fuel and energy bills. All this, together with increased investor scrutiny of companies’ environmental ethos, means carbon solutions are an increasingly important aspect of modern business.

The Green IT Report’s Green IT Profiles are available in PDF format and cost £200 each.
