| Sourced From | Freeport, Ill- During the month of April and early May, 25 people participated in a four-session carbon-reduction program led by Keith Blackmore and Lynn Feaver at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Freeport. Attendees learned how to make decisions that make an impact on the earth and how to measure the results. By the last session, the nine households present had completed actions that will result in a total CO2 reduction of 29,800 pounds annually – that’s an average reduction of more than 3,300 pounds each that could result in annual savings ranging from $260 to $518, depending on whether the savings were in electric use, natural gas use or in the cost of gasoline. The participants included Lynn Feaver, Judy Ross, Deb Samuelson, Sue Bronn, Nancy Lillevold, Marlisa Gunderson, Mike Gunderson, Stephanie Yarzak, Karl Bronn, Della Moen, Chuck Moen, Keith Riebock, Sue Riebock, Sandra Feaver, Dave and Nancy Brockman, Ann Crothers, Joe and Carolyn Mastroianni, Dave Petersen, Gordon Ross, Allen and LaVonne Slama, George Yarzak and Jean Zimmerman.
