Opinion: Delaware gains $2 million in carbon credit sale


Delaware sold more than $2 million worth of smoke last week through a regional program created to reduce climate-changing greenhouse-gas emissions.

The money, earmarked mainly for energy conservation and clean-energy programs and ventures, came from the seventh in a series of auctions of credits for power-plant carbon dioxide emissions, held by the 10-state Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative.
