Carbon neutral: On track to achieve emissions target


NEWS LTD has become carbon neutral and is on track to achieving its goal of reducing its emissions by 20 per cent, News Limited chairman and chief executive John Hartigan has announced.

Mr Hartigan said since starting its company-wide energy reduction plan One Degree in June 2007, News Limited had achieved emissions reductions of 18.4 per cent in FY2010 and was confident that it would meet its 20 per cent goal in 2010.
