India 3rd Largest Emitter through Power Generation: CGD

The has revealed that India stands at the third position amongst the largest CO2 emitting nations all over the world. The Washington-based think-tank has suggested that by moving to solar-powered energy.

Inside India, the contributes the most to the country’s overall carbon emissions; however, the company is also one of the most efficient ones when it comes to power generation from fossil fuels.

“NTPC is the second best in the world, emitting only 800 grams of CO2 per kwh of electricity generation,” claimed NTPC officials referring to their power efficiency.
