The Federal Minister of Environment has assured stake holders in the textile industry that he will arrange a meeting of the trade bodies with the Prime Minister to ensure that environmentally friendly units get carbon credits.
Mr Afridi said this while speaking to the media at the sixth Textile Asia in Karachi and added that the government was committed to providing the maximum relief to those eco-friendly industries by providing additional resources like carbon credits.
He also requested the textile sector to send him the proposals with regards to carbon credits.
