IOR wants member input for low carbon strategy

| Sourced From |

The Institute of Refrigeration is looking for input from members to help develop a strategy for sustainable low carbon refrigeration in the future.

A task force with combined input from the IOR, the British Refrigeration Association and the Carbon Trust, is developing a framework strategy and setting up working groups on key issues such as skills for the future; effective energy assessment models; recycling and reuse of equipment and industry-led safety matters.

The Institute welcomes suggestions on key topics – both short term and long term – that should be identified as part of this work programme and offers to be involved in moving topics forward.

The move follows on from the successful IOR/BRA Carbon Trust Retail Refrigeration Road Map project.

Please contact [email protected] with suggestions which can be collated for the next steering meeting by 12th October.
