Environmental and climate change policy has emerged as one of the areas where a prospective Conservative-Lib Dem coalition could work constructively together, according to reports over the weekend.
As the two parties’ negotiating teams met to try to thrash out a deal that could result in either a Con-Lib coalition or informal Lib Dem support for a Conservative minority government, senior figures on both sides suggested the two parties could cooperate to drive forward low carbon policies.
