New research to test personal carbon credit scheme

The Australian territory of Norfolk Island has been chosen to trial the world’s first ever personal carbon trading program.

It’s two-thousand inhabitants will be encouraged to take action on two of the world’s biggest problems: obesity and climate change.

In return they’ll get a carbon credits which they can exchange for power or petrol, and later even for food.

Professor Garry Egger from Southern Cross University in Australia is heading up the research project.
