The Economist recently published the results of a paper that was in The Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences suggesting that the developed countries are responsible for an even larger amount of greenhouse gases than we thought. While it looks like the developed world has been cutting emissions, in fact we have simply been shifting them to the developing world.</p>
