EU urged to cut carbon more sharply

WWF says that the unexpectedly rapid change in the climate means the EU should be aiming to reduce emissions by 30%, not 20%, by 2020. The environmental organisation WWF has urged the EU to cut its emissions of greenhouse gases by 30% from 1990 levels by 2020, while also delivering carbon reductions within Europe and not offsetting overseas.
