Civic body eyes carbon credits, World Bank to verify claim

The Pune Municipal Corporation is eyeing funds from the World Bank, for the first time, for carbon credits it has been able to manage through energy saving by introducing flourescent lamps for streetlights. A World Bank team is scheduled to visit the city by the month-end to verify the civic body claim.
