Australia Senate passes forest, farm offsets scheme

Known as the Carbon Farming Initiative (CFI), the new laws allow farmers and investors to generate tradeable carbon offsets from farmland and forestry projects that polluters can buy and use to meet mandatory emissions reductions.

Poor may need to curb CO2 by 15 percent: U.N.

NEW DELHI (Reuters) – Developing nations may need to slow projected growth in their carbon emissions by 15 percent by 2020 if rich countries agree to reduce theirs by up to 40 percent for a new global deal, a top U.N. official said on Thursday.

NCDEX for proper policy on carbon credit trading

We can have a debate about how quickly it is happening and the effects _ even there the science is firming _ but it is clear that the planet is warming and the consequence of this is grave.
