PepsiCo UK offers farmers web water, carbon saver

(Reuters) – PepsiCo UK and Ireland, whose brands include Walkers Crisps and Quaker Oats, said on Tuesday it will roll out globally a web-based crop management system to help farmers reduce water use and carbon emissions.

The company, a unit of PepsiCo Inc, has set a goal of reducing water use and carbon emissions from the farming of its core crops by 50 percent over the next 5 years.
