Czech carbon exchange eyes reopening next week

PRAGUE, March 4 (Reuters) – Officials hope to reopen the Czech carbon registry by late next week following the January theft of around 7 million euros ($9.8 million) worth of carbon permits from several accounts, the registry’s chief said on Friday.

NZX signals $20m writedown from carbon trading venture

Sharemarket operator NZX is signalling a $19.9 million hit to its balance sheet from a carbon trading business it has sold, blaming a lower priority given to carbon trading and “lack of a global political agenda around carbon.”
